Finally ATEC Stage 1 is over! Means I'm one more step closer to ORD!!! AHHH!!! 6 More Months!
Monday was the start of ATEC but since its for commanders, everyone else slack the whole day. Sleep sleep and sleep!
Tuesday was when we actually started our ATEC Stage 1. I was tested in Matador individual and Crew Drill in Section level. For Matador I was the last guy. When the tester reached me he tried some stunt on me hoping I will screw up but Too Bad!! Haha! Everyone was given Tank Target Kneeling position but I was given Wall Target Standing Shoulder. Simple shit. Matador has no timing so I Took my time. I'm best at taking my time man! Haha After that in the afternoon was Crew Drill for my section. Everything was quite messy and Thank GOD we dont have to do Camo DrilL!! My LAW 1 know Nuts about what to do! Well for the first day, managed to achieve Redcon 1 for both Matador and Crew drill!
Wednesday was the biggest Disappointment for ATEC Stage 1. My platoon was selected and sent for A.I. Battle course where we had to fight one mission. Everyone was on high moral hoping to whack the shit out of them OPFOR Solders, enemies for Atec. But when we were moving mounted towards our Form Up Point, my section was shot by a missle. It was an Ambush. Tank destroyed, whole section annihilated. In the end only 2 section when on to fight. All no moral to fight. My section has the most fire power since we have fill strength and alot of ammo. In the end mission fail. Everyone Died. While everyone was fighting, everyone in my section was so bored we play with stones. We even drew hopscotch and hop around. Damn lame. Totally Disappointed.
Thursday spent the whole day servicing the vehicle. Going for dip test. Have to clean the stuff under the tank. So I pretty much spent most of the time under the tank. Having oil spill all over me... Feels like a technician for a day. Haha Well good thing our tank passed the dip test!
Friday was the Battalion Anniversary Dinner. The whole battalion booked out on Thursday except us. Friday morning we had briefing for our 4NTM coming Tuesday. Afternoon we book out and went for the dinner at in the evening. Was quite fun though. They serve beer too. And damn I hate beer. Drink just to join in the occasion.
