Had lots of fun yesterday in which it caused me to be too tired to blog this morning instead of yesterday night. Reached home around 2 plus in the morning. Hahax
Went for Jalan Raya with my SC friends. I missed last year's Jalan Raya coz I wasnt free on that day. So I decided to do what it takes to make sure I go for this year's Raya! All of us Gathered at Siti's place first so its our first house. First time I was in Baju Kurung and a Sunkok on my head. Hahax Most of the Parents did not notice I was actually Chinese. Hahaha We all went around the houses at the east first before we head the North. I lost count of the houses we visited. But I'll say the food tasted great! Ever since I enlisted I havent eaten malay food. And now finally!! Malay Food!! Hahax Izhar and Faizal rented Vans so transport wasnt much of a problem. Just that its really hot in the van. We visited the last house around 12 in the morning at Geylang Baru and after that Izhar and Faizal sent everyone back. I went for supper with Fabian and Bing Xiong as usual like every Saturday night before I went back home. Next week my weekend is burnt. Well at least I get to enjoy yesterday big time! Thanks Everyone! It was worth the 3 extras. Long story so dont ask... Hahax

Well as usual Army Life is hell boring. At times there can be fun though... Hahax
Monday I had test for 25mm Overhead Weapon System, OWS. But before that we had a 8km route march in a little rain. It was drizzling. Hahax The test was conducted by people from ATI, Armour Training Institude.
Tuesday there was SOC training in the morning. They made us run the full rundown three times! Well at least we get to skip the ramp and the balancing beam. First roundown in Full Battle Order. Second rundown without rifle and last rundown without LBV and Rifle. Shack I tell you! Well at least after that my OC was happy with our performance and he gave us canteen break. It was Cougar Company's First canteen break. Well too bad I had my first canteen break in BMT at Sungei Gedung. Hahax After all that I had lesson on how to use the 25mm OWS turret in the M113 Bushmaster.
Wednesday morning we had Endurance Run of 3km with boots. After that we rest untill after lunch we played some games. A few of us went to play volleyball with the CQ, the storeman. Hahax And finally, my CSM finally opened the Mess for us to use. But I lazy to go so I went back to bunk to sleep.
Thursday there was IMT for Matador and M203 Gunners. We went Pasir Laba for our simulation shooting. Came back to camp for lunch and after that the OWS people went to learn and boresight the 25mm. All the way till around 8 plus.
Friday Bookout day!! M203 had life firing. Again I went to help out as sentry. Got to skip morning 5BX! Hahax But then Sentry Duty for this time's Range was damn boring. Station at Gate so far away from the range that the CSM have to drive my buddy and I there. And the only time I open the Gate was for the Demoliton Guy to blow up a blind. After that we book out around 8pm. Next week our Weekend is burnt. Life firing for OWS is on Sunday. So I'll only be back on Deepavali. Tomorrow Jalan Raya! Hahax

Get to book in on Monday night this week since Saturday is an off day for us and its a public holiday. Tuesday there was Live Firing for M203 Gunners (M16), SAW Gunners, and BMTC SAR-21 Gunners. Its a whole day thing so all the other gunners get to slack in company line while the rest go Pasir Laba for their Live Range. I dont have to attend the live firing but I was asked to follow the Storeman to help out at the Range. Not only I went there to help out in the Logistics, I had to become the Sentry for the range itself -__-" Well at least it was quite fun. Hahax Get to talk crap with the drivers.
Wednesday lesson resumed for my OWS cannon. Mainly we did revision so basically we all sit around and talk crap also. Hahax But at night before lights out we help out in the cleaning of Rifle.
Thursday we get to learn how to operate the OWS cannon and learn how to mount and strip the Co-axial, which is a GPMP without the Wooden Butt. Was quite fun though. Hahax But then Thursday wasnt very much a good day though. Signed 3 extras... Long Story... Dont ask... Hahax Haiz...
Friday yesterday was my Guard Duty. It was actually next Saturday but I changed to Next Friday. Yesterday was suppose to be my friend's duty but he was on MC at home. So I covered for him and he will do my next Friday. Did Sentry 2 again. My Guard Comm was very good. He allowed MP3 during duty as long as its not visible. So used it on my 4am to 6am shift. I put it on LBV and max the volume. Hahax Freaking tired after the duty. Went back and had a good sleep after that.

Finally this week there is some lessons for me. No more eat and sleep in bunk. Hahax Since I'm in section 3, all of us are required to learn the 25mm OWS, Overhead Weapon System. Its a cannon attached on top of the M113 APC tank. It sounds cool yeah learning bout cannons all. But when you see what we have to learn... One of them is stripping of the cannon. There is so many steps it require two person to strip then cannon at once. Loading and Unloading also requires two person to do. And when it comes to theory... DOnt wanna talk about it man... Next week test... Die! On 9th October's evening we were brought to the Specs Mess to join the BBQ. The CO and the RSM was there. Some of us sit on the round table with them and talk. Some of them Drank with the CO since he offered us beer. Dont worry I dont drink beers. Hate the taste. We when we went back to company line and told the Drivers who didnt went to the mess that we drank with the CO and RSM, most of them didnt believed. Hahax
Today we get to book out in the afternoon. But in the morning we had some games and activities. Tomorrow is out unit 40 SAR's 38th Anniversary. So we had a celebration today and tomorrow is the battalion's off! Hahax Long weekend. In the Evening we are all went to Chevron's ballroom. Everyone had fun there. My CSM brought his wife along somemore. Hahax Everyone clapped and cheered when he entered the ballroom. Hahax

This week we went through a form of training in which my friend calls it the Endurance Training. What we do? Eat and Sleep. Hahahax For the whole week, as usual morning 5bx, bloody hell though there isnt anymore 5bx... After 5bx breakfast and after first parade we have physical training. Then after that is admin time.
Monday I all of us have to go cut our hair. Damn thought I can keep my hair longer... Morning had speed training and after that is Just eat and sleep.
Tuesday Morning strength training and afther that eat and sleep.
Wednesday had IPPT Test. Managed to get Silver! 8 Pull ups, 40 Sit ups, Standing Broad Jump 234cm, 2.4km aprox 11mins. Incentive of $100! Hahax But must wait untill end of financial month which is around march next year then can get... Haiz... For those who get gold can get their 200 in 2 months time. Gold requirement is to tough to try man... 2.4km timing 9:45min sia! Maybe next time then try... Now aiming for Marksman in the next life firing. Hahax
Thursday Bloodyhell we had route march. They want us to maintain our combat fitness so we did an 8km route march. Although 8km feels like notting but still nobody likes doing route march... But then at least most of us gets to eat and sleep. Hahax Only the M203 people have to go learn to use the Claymore and Banglore Torpedo. Haha!!
Friday is the only day we didnt really rest much. We had endurance run of 4km where we have to run in together in steps and sing songs. Well at least the S3 was impressed with our performance. Hahax After that we went to SAFTI at Pasir Laba Camp to experience the Explosion of Claymore Mine and the Banglore Torpedo explosive. Really Cool! Then after dinner is BOOK OUT! Hahax Feels good to book out in home cloths. Hahax
