1st July as we all know it is SAF day. Previously we are required to march in the parade square of SAFTI. It was pushed away thanks to our CSM. He saved us. Hahax
Tuesday SAF day we had Endurance Run of 3km in the early morning before we do some Parade for SAF day. Short and chop chop march. Actually we didnt march at all. All we did was stand there and do listen to the full-of-crap message for SAF day. Then after that we cross train on our weapon. I learnt the GMPG and the SAW. GPMG was Simple. Piece of Cake. But the SAW was kinda tricky. Singapore Made Weapons are so full of Crap.
Wednesday Morning there was a 10km run to Qian Hu Park but I had Guard Duty. The rest who did Duty with me coincidently are the Jurong Point Makkals. All of us doing duty all kena extra. Hahax The few of us who always go Jurong Point During Nights out to chill or have a drink. Morning we slept at the Guard House. But in the afternoon we are called back to continue our Weapon Cross Training. Learnt the M203 Grenade Launcher. Wasnt very hard though... Everyone went for early nights out after that. Wasted we all had duty.
Thursday Morning there was Technical Handling Test for all the weapons we learn. Damn shack when I took the test. No guard rest all. The New CO came over to have a talk with us in the morning. Then in the afternoon we went for NDP rehearsal.
Friday Morning we continued with the Technical Handling Test I finished everything except the GPMG mounted role. I didnt do the test at all. Got fed up of waiting so I went up to sleep. Good thing the Sergeant nice... Just submit the result saying that I passed but actually I didnt take the test... Hahax Then In the afternoon, we went East Coast Park for a 12km run. The run was not bad. Good Scenery. Ran non stop for about 7-8km and then I walked all the way back. Cannot make it already. Knees hurting big time. Everything finished around 7pm and we booked out from ECP. Daven, Kumaran and I went Carl's Jr. to eat. Not bad the food there I'll say. Free flow of drinks. Went to refill my water bottle. Hahax
Saturday is the first NDP preview. Pri 5 Students all came and some of the other Public came as well. I had to wear some gray outfit so that we can camouflage in the back ground... Overall it was fun. Couldnt go in cause I dont have the pass. Have to go behind somewhere to get my pass. And they kept us untill 10:30pm like that just to practice on the Emergency Evacuation Drill. Waste of time sia...
