Well I should say, by far this outfield was the worst of em all and I had the worst birthday of my life!
Monday we stayed in company line to Prepare for the coming outfield on Tuesday. Morning we did some endurance run of 3km and after that we went to the Vehicle Shed to prep our vehicle. My stupid vehicle's battery died so we had to slave start it. My driver wasnt around I did it with my VC, Vehicle Commander. He taught all of us how to ramp up also. Well finally I know how to operate the M113! Only thing left is to drive it... Hahax
Tuesday we woke up at 4am and set off at 7am. We went to Sungei Gedong to mount our equipments on our vehicle before we move off. Our first mission started at 2pm. We three missions in total for 3 days. The first mission we had to be dropped off at a point, walk as infantries to secure and area where there will be ambush waiting for us. I dont really know what the objective is but I just walked with them. We walk 3 hours on the first objective. Crossed rivers as high till it reaches the waste all, Climb numerous steep slopes, and finally reached the area and we cleared the ambush. We thought it was over since we started to mount the vehicle and was dropped off near a training shed. But actually we are dropped off there to walk to another objective. Which took another 3 hours. Walking around the jungle, pass the farms there, construction yard, and even along the road of all the Kubur (Cemetery). We all are like dying already, Never eat anything, all hungry and tired. When we finally reach there, cleared the objective, there is another objective to clear slightly further down. In total we finished first mission at around 11pm to 12am. Well that Marks the worst Birthday of my life!
Well after the first mission over doesnt mean its over! Mission two starts after about and hours plus of rest after the first mission, we set of to an area for mission two. Where we had to defend the objective and make a delay. We dig shell scrapes and set up concertina wires and all. We completed all these at around 7am and we waited there. We all sit there, sleep and all. Till around 12pm still nobody came. We mount our vehicle and went back to our stand two position for resupply. There we rested all the wall till the next day for our third mission. After the second mission, I realised the water in my boots is starting to take effect on my foot. I remove my boots check it out and bloody hell it got wrinkled really bad. Changed my socks and applyed some prickly heat but still it didnt work. During the whole outfield it was raining, so no matter how much I try to air my foot it didnt work. I didnt sleep the whole night cause the pain was just excrutiating. I didnt go for the third mission. I just couldnt walk properly. So I just stayed with the vehicle as instructed by my Sir.
The third day everyone moved off at 5am and they spent like 7 hours on the third mission. I have no Idea what they happened but all I know was that they had fun. And bloody hell my whole section died. Hahax Kena drip by the MO. We finally get to go back after all that at around 6pm. We went back to camp, the whole company get to order food from some seafood stall or something from outside. My platoon ordered Sambal Fried Rice with egg which cost $4.50. Imagine 80 over people order food. that makes 300 plus to 400 plus bucks a night man! When we came back, we went to bath before we clean arms. All our foot all Rot and cause of that the whole company was limping around.
Friday we mostly spend our time to clean our arms, and the best part is at least half the company wore sandals. Even to cook house and all. All got foot rot. Only the tankees and drivers are safe.
Damn this outfield! Walk like dogs like that! Well at least he next outfield should be interesting. We get to put he laser system and all so we can tell who die, killed by who and what. Cool man! Next up coming outfield... Company Proficiency Test. 2 Days 1 Night.
