Well as usual Army Life is hell boring. At times there can be fun though... Hahax
Monday I had test for 25mm Overhead Weapon System, OWS. But before that we had a 8km route march in a little rain. It was drizzling. Hahax The test was conducted by people from ATI, Armour Training Institude.
Tuesday there was SOC training in the morning. They made us run the full rundown three times! Well at least we get to skip the ramp and the balancing beam. First roundown in Full Battle Order. Second rundown without rifle and last rundown without LBV and Rifle. Shack I tell you! Well at least after that my OC was happy with our performance and he gave us canteen break. It was Cougar Company's First canteen break. Well too bad I had my first canteen break in BMT at Sungei Gedung. Hahax After all that I had lesson on how to use the 25mm OWS turret in the M113 Bushmaster.
Wednesday morning we had Endurance Run of 3km with boots. After that we rest untill after lunch we played some games. A few of us went to play volleyball with the CQ, the storeman. Hahax And finally, my CSM finally opened the Mess for us to use. But I lazy to go so I went back to bunk to sleep.
Thursday there was IMT for Matador and M203 Gunners. We went Pasir Laba for our simulation shooting. Came back to camp for lunch and after that the OWS people went to learn and boresight the 25mm. All the way till around 8 plus.
Friday Bookout day!! M203 had life firing. Again I went to help out as sentry. Got to skip morning 5BX! Hahax But then Sentry Duty for this time's Range was damn boring. Station at Gate so far away from the range that the CSM have to drive my buddy and I there. And the only time I open the Gate was for the Demoliton Guy to blow up a blind. After that we book out around 8pm. Next week our Weekend is burnt. Life firing for OWS is on Sunday. So I'll only be back on Deepavali. Tomorrow Jalan Raya! Hahax
