I havent an interesting weekend for a long time. Had a camp on Friday and Saturday. Its not just some ordinary camp you have in your school! This camp is a unique one. We have students from different JCs and ITEs in this camp. Cool eh? Hahax! Its a camp organiesed by RJC and Singapore Poly. ITE west Bukit Batok also assisted them in the organising of the camp too. The idea of this camp, or also known as Youth Avenue, was brought up by a student in RJC. Alpphenyl, if I didnt get her name wrong, decided to organise something that can get JC and ITE students together since JC students dont really have ITE students as friends. She brought up the idea, and they thought it was a great idea. Even the education minister Mr Thanman thought it was a great idea. And so the camp was fully sponsored! Besides, its not just an ordinary camp. We have cross fire debates too!
Friday was the first day of the camp. Five excos members from my school attended the camp. We are to report in RJC at 1pm. We joined our allocated group and what the heck? I'm in group 1. There are a total of 14 group. We went to the lecture theater and had two speakers speaking. We all proceeded to Sparkc at east coast for our camp activities at around three. We were relocated into groups again. It was pouring when we reached the place. Due to the wet weather we didnt get to do activities like Rockwall Climbing. DAMMIT!!! I was looking forward to it though... We did some interesting games the camp organisers organised for us. And the interesting part of the camp is there is no lights out. We finish our activites and the rest of the time is ours. This is like the first camp I've ever been to that has no lights out. I didnt slept throughout the night. I stayed up all night. Hazlami, my president and Gabriel, my vice president played some card games with some others who werent sleeping too. We had all kinds of fun the whole night.But when it reached 4plus in the morning, one by one all started to sleep. Only a few people managed to stay awake.
Our report time was 6:30 in the morning yesterday. I took a super short nap for only five to ten minutes only. And yet still I'm looking fresh and awake. Hahax Never happened before. Its strange yeah given the fact that at home I sleep at 11:30. Hahax Our morning excersise is unique too. Unlike other kind of camps where we do real excersise and all. What we did was mine games like thingy. Like walking around until suddenly when the instructor gave the signal, we are to find any five or maybe seven ppl depending on the instructor, form a group and sit down. Those left out must do forfeit. Hahax Cool wake up call. Gonna use it for my SC camp. Hehe. After that we did some one more activitie and went back to RJC at 11am. We had another speech by three person again. One of which is Daniel from electrico (hope I got his name right...) After that we had a cross fire debate between other groups on chosen topics. Afther that we had some fashion disaster where all will dress in all kinds of funny fashion. We had a speech by Mr Tharman and performance by bands from RJC and Singapore Poly. Last performance was by a local band along with Daphane. The singapore Idol finalist. We ended at around eight plus. I went with Gabriel and Hafiz for dinner at Macdonal after that. I reached home at 10:45. The camp was great but its a waste there wasnt Rockwall Climbing... Well its the first time I stood awake for 49hours though. Hahax
